Aldi FITT Cube: A home workout for under £80

January is in full swing now, with the first month of the year being a time when many people re-evaluate their daily healthy habits and set new fitness goals. Not to mention trying both the vegan and dry January. There are a few deals you can get too, with some retailers offering final discounts in their January sales.

Whether you’re still going strong with any New Year’s resolutions, or simply fancy trying something different for 2023, we’re here to help you get the best prices with our expert shopping guides.

Aldi, the affordable retailer, is known for offering sexy, no-fuss Specialbuys for higher-priced products from Pixi, It Cosmetics, Le Creuset, The White Company, Ugg, and more. In fact, the middle lane is a veritable treasure trove of bargains to buy throughout the year, and as expected, this month’s deals include a ton of health and fitness products.

Their most popular exercise buy is the FITT Smart Cube, which is a multitasking tool for use in conjunction with various exercise regimens. Designed for use like high-intensity interval training (HIIT), this workout’s name stands for: Frequency, Intensity, Time, and Type.

It usually comes with an RRP of around £120 – like the New Image FITT cube available at Argos (£120, Argos.co.uk) – buying the cube is without a doubt an investment. And while we spotted a discount on the more expensive cube in Amazon’s January sales, Aldi’s offering has them both head-to-head.

Priced from under £80, the Crane FITT Cube is an Aldi Specialbuys exclusive online, so you won’t find this bargain exercise buy anywhere in the store. Created for use as part of a FITT workout, the sides of the cube work for different types of exercises.

The fitness multitool features a steel frame and can be used for cardio, resistance, and strength exercises, as well as endurance and flexibility. Components include a bench and step, and the 43.5cm x 38cm x 38.5cm piece of the set is a practical and compact purchase if you pay for space. You’ll also get a set of 7kg resistance bands, a user’s guide, exercise chart, and nutrition and health guidelines for further information and support.

You can do a whopping 100 exercise moves with the cube—covering step steps, twisting, moving and jumping—and there’s a built-in pedometer, too. They don’t need to be built either because the cube comes fully assembled for added ease of use, and there are FITT video exercises online to follow if you need additional exercise guidance. Who needs a gym membership anyway?

(Amazon, $13)

A very similar New Image FITT Cube is currently being sold on Amazon, with £40 now being shaved off the price. This is the cheapest deal we’ve found, with the same FITT cube also being sold at other retailers including Argos (£120, Argos.co.uk).

Like the Aldi version, the Fitness Box was created to help you perform several different types of exercises, from strength training to building endurance and incorporating resistance elements. And just like Aldi’s offering, a pair of 7kg resistance bands is also included, and there’s even a bench and step.

The brand describes it as a “portable gym in a box” because this tool works for so many types of exercise. Plus, while it’s on sale on Amazon, the price will let you change from £100 too. This is much cheaper than signing up for a gym membership and means that you can work out from the comfort of your own home. But it’s still £10 more expensive than the Aldi version, so it’s your call.
