Manchester City and Liverpool players dominate the scouting selection in Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 2.

Both clubs are set to play their first home game of the season, increasing the appeal of their key picks at both ends of the pitch.

Man City host AFC Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon before Liverpool host Crystal Palace at Anfield on Monday evening.

Erling Haaland (£11.6 million) and Mohammad Salah (£13.0m) are the chosen heavy hitters.

Haaland quickly established himself as a prime target after his two goals and 13 points against West Ham United.

More than 900,000 managers brought in the Norwegian striker before Saturday deadline at 11:00 BST.

Haaland’s tally of four big chances was more than any other player in Gameweek 1.

The Egyptian has a fine record against Palace, amassing 44 points in his last four home encounters with them.

Foden looks set for another start on the right of Pep Guardiola’s front three, while Nunez is set to start against the Eagles after scoring as a substitute in back-to-back games.

In defense, Trent Alexandre-Arnold (£7.5 million) and Joao Cancelo (£7.0m) both ranked among the top five players in the 2021/22 overall standings thanks to their multiple paths back.

The Arsenal centre-back enjoyed great success at both ends of the pitch in his two appearances for Leicester City last season. Gabriel combined one goal and two clean sheets with three bonuses, totaling 21 points.

Lucas Digne (AVL) £5.0m

The Aston Villa left-back offers potential at both ends of the pitch at home against Everton. Digne’s 34 assists and four assists ranked second for Villa after Steven Gerrard was appointed as head coach in Gameweek 12 last season.

Mohamed Salah (LIV) £13.0m

The Liverpool talisman was led by almost 3.3 million managers in Gameweek 1 and is expected to be the most selected choice once again.

A 6.4% stake makes the England star a huge differential against AFC Bournemouth.

Gabriel Martinelli (ARS) £6.1m

The Brazilian’s 11 big chances in home matches was a team-leading tally for Arsenal last term. Martinelli is the second most possessed midfielder in Fantasy, featuring in 25.8% of squads.

Jack Harrison (LEE) £6.0m

The Leeds United winger created six chances in Gameweek 1, more than any other player. Harrison scored in three of his last five away appearances last season, underlining his overall threat against Southampton.

Erling Haaland (MCI) £11.6m

The striker has been involved in a goal every 69.8 minutes in his last two league seasons with Borussia Dortmund.

Darwin Nunez (LIV) £9.0m

Despite playing as a second-half substitute at Fulham, Nunez’s three big chances came second only to Haaland in Gameweek 1.
