David Feherty joins LIV Golf, scenes over the years

David Feherty is on the move.

The colorful commentator and longtime NBC Sports and Golf Channel analyst is joining the LIV Golf Invitational series, the league announced Friday afternoon. LIV Golf still doesn’t have a TV partner, but Feherty’s decision gives the Greg Norman-run and Saudi-funded upstart circuit a household name in its broadcast team.

Feherty, 63, was part of the 20-person crew on air at the Old Course in St. Andrews for the 150th Open Championship last week.

He was with the NBC Sports group in a variety of roles for about seven years. In March, he hosted the World Golf Hall of Fame induction ceremony which included Tiger Woods.

Feherty will join LIV Golf coverage next week at his third event at Trump Bedminster in New Jersey.

Here’s a look at Feherty’s photos over the years.
