Along with his professional updates, Ohanian yesterday took to his Twitter account, promising to change the education system by introducing the founder and CEO of Prenda to the world.

Having its roots dating back to 2015, Prenda is a modernized training company. Specializing in K-8 students, Prenda strives to provide tuition-free micro-schools for children. The company currently works in over 6 states in the United States.

Besides being the co-founder of Reddit, Ohanian is also an avid capital investor. Establishing his private equity firm, Seven Seven Six in 2020, the 39-year-old has invested in numerous businesses to date. Recently, Ohanian became the lead investor in Prenda’s second fundraising round.
In making the announcement, Seven Seven Six took to their Twitter account, posting a lengthy thread tweet about Prenda Founder and CEO Kelly Smith. The thread featured a full profile of Smith.
While Seven Seven Six had already acknowledged Smith’s presence, Alexis Ohanian made sure to have his personal involvement as well. Taking his Twitter handle, Ohanian introduced Smith to the world. Giving his perspective on the current education system, Ohanian extended his support to Smith, hoping the knowledgeable founder would make changes to it.
Taking to his Twitter account, he wrote: “Our education system was designed with the assembly line in mind to prepare our children for an industrializing world. The times have changed. Our methods did not follow. I hope the pioneers like Kelly Smith help us build a fairer and more efficient path.
