Piers Morgan has blasted Mikel Arteta’s decision to allow star striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to leave Arsenal for Barcelona earlier this year.
After spending six successful months at Barcelona, it has now appeared the club are ready to entertain offers for the former Arsenal forward.
Reports suggest Chelsea may be interested in Aubameyang’s services, with Thomas Tuchel having worked with the 33-year-old during his time at Borussia Dortmund.

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel reportedly interested in bringing striker to Stamford Bridge
Twitter user @GoonerTalk reacted to the news of Aubameyang’s possible departure from the LaLiga club, alleging the striker’s short stay at the Nou Camp was evidence of an attitude problem.
They wrote: “Piers Morgan kept talking about Arsenal offloading ‘world class striker’ Aubameyang, just for Barcelona to try to get rid of him 6 months later. If rumor has it that a player is problematic and two teams dump it within 6 months, you can take those rumors as gospel.
Piers Morgan, however, hit back at the claims, writing: “No report of [Aubameyang] to be anything but exemplary at Barça and a goalscoring machine. Now he can go to Chelsea, managed by Tuchel who managed him at Dortmund and loved him so much he wants to work with him again. So every part of this tweet is pure nonsense.

After another user replied claiming that Tuchel would actively lie to the striker about club meeting times to ensure he was there on time, Morgan replied: “He’s a bad timekeeper , a big problem.” Tuchel handled it superbly, Arteta chose to humiliate him and give it away – which cost us the Top4.
After joining Arsenal for a record £56million in 2018 during Arsene Wenger’s final season at the Emirates, Aubameyang quickly established himself in north London, scoring ten Premier League goals in his 13 first appearances at the club.

In his first full season in north London, Aubameyang would continue his success in front of goal, winning the Golden Boot with 25 Premier League goals in the 2018-19 season.
However, relations between Aubameyang and the club would deteriorate after Mikel Arteta took over from Unai Emery in 2019.
The recently released documentary All or Nothing about the pair’s deteriorating relationship, revealing Arteta kept a detailed file of all of his then captain’s ‘misdemeanors’ at the club, before removing him from the captaincy in December .
