The final standings for the 2022 Senior British Open Championship are headed by winner Darren Clarke, who took the major victory on the 2022 PGA Tour Champions schedule at Gleneagles Hotel’s Kings Course in Scotland.
Clarke ended up winning the 72-hole senior major for the first time in his career by shooting Padraig Harrington from 10-under 270.

After a long weather delay, Clarke got to the final hole tied for the lead. Needing a birdie on the par-5 closer to win, Clarke found himself just short of the green in two. He then went up and down for a birdie with a 35-yard putter to secure the title.
Six players tied for third place, two strokes off the lead.
Clarke took home the $432,204 winner’s share of the $2,750,000 purse.

Clarke wins the 15th PGA Tour of the Year title, again entering the winner’s circle on the Over-50 Tour.
The money that Clarke — and every player on the pitch — earned is converted into Charles Schwab Cup points, with every dollar converted into two points in the Charles Schwab Cup playoffs.
There are no discounts on events hosted by PGA Tour Champions, including at their two operated majors: Senior Players and Tradition. However, there was a cut this week in the event, organized by the Staysure Tour.
