“Last season I had to say goodbye to an incredible group of seniors who I have become so close to and who I will miss dearly, but I am extremely excited to bring a group of new guys who will try to fill their shoes. in terms of what they will bring to our program,” Klysner said. “I think we have a great mix of personalities and experiences in tennis, which will create a great team environment. These guys are all very academic, which is always important to me when recruiting. We have a fantastic history of doing amazing things on the tennis court, it will be a mix of young and old and I will be looking to our older guys to help shape and teach this younger half of the roster what it means to be a Red Bird.”
Dominic Anderson / Freshman / Brisbane, Australia
“I enjoyed getting to know Dominic through the recruiting process and I think Dom is definitely someone whose best tennis is ahead of him. He already has a lot of success in doubles, which is what I was looking for, and I “I believe his singles game will improve dramatically once he trains with our team. I think Dom will be a great addition for us and I look forward to having him here this fall.”
Adrian Dibildox / Freshman / Monterrey, Mexico
“Adrian has just been recruited heavily from a lot of top schools so he was someone I had been watching for quite a while. He comes from a great family and during all of our conversations he just stood out as someone who would fit in with our culture and has the same goals we are trying to achieve He has been very successful on the ITF Junior Tour and has had an awesome summer so far winning UTR tournaments as well as qualifications for ATP challenger events.
Tin Ostro / Freshman / Zagreb, Croatia
“I’m so excited for Tin to join the team this fall. He’s another guy who has been heavily recruited by many top schools. ATP level. I think Tin will be a huge asset to us in terms of doubles, which is something we really need after losing a lot of players in doubles last year. I expect him to have an impact as well In singles from the very first conversations, I knew Tin would fit into our team and help us achieve great things this year.”
Caden Scarlett / Freshman / Evansville, Indiana
“We are thrilled to have this young man join our team in the fall. From the start, Caden expressed his excitement about coming to ISU and he worked so hard on his game last year and has really moved up the national rankings. He’s been so driven and hardworking and that really stuck with me during the recruiting process. I think Caden is going to do great things here and hasn’t reached his full potential yet. “
Tomas Valencia / Freshman / Santiago, Chile
“I couldn’t be more excited that Tomas has chosen to join us this fall. I expect Tomas to have a huge impact in his first year with us based on his playing experience. He won multiple wins over ATP ranked players and has a lot of experience competing in ITF Pro events. The studies were very important to Tomas which is something we look for a lot in our program. I enjoyed getting to know his family along the way , which made me even more confident that Tomas will feel right at home here when he arrives in the fall.”
