How many rallies have you taken part in? This is my 12th year.

What do you like best about rallying? The sound of bicycles. I love the sound of bicycles. All is well. Everyone is so awesome and welcoming, and just cool as hell here. I can run half naked and that’s fine.

What do you like best about rallying? The bikes. I ride.

What do you like best about rallying? I’m really excited for people watching people in this community because it’s been something else so far.

“Crawdad Kenny”, 69, has been in the rally since 1994 and carries a barrel.

Jonathan Brock

Jonathon Brock, the founder of Pinstriping by Brock, has attended the rally on several occasions, but only brought his pinstriping business to the rally last year.

How many rallies have you participated in: I’ve been here many times over the years, but as far as this gig goes, I started last year.

What do you like best about rallying? I love the city, there is a beautiful area here. People, you know when it all goes away, Sturgis turns into a quiet little town.







Jan and Darrel Eads

Jan and Darrell Eads, dressed in a matching tie-dye jumpsuit, had never been to Sturgis before but set their sights on it early on their drive from Cincinnati, Ohio.

How many rallies have you taken part in? This is our first year. We started a 10,000 mile journey on our bike and left eight days ago. We said Sturgis was one of the places we wanted to go.

What do you like best about rallying? Beautiful people, personalities.







Robert and Leslie Fabian

Leslie and Robert Fabian are Chicago Sturgis veterans and love reconnecting with old friends at the rally.

How many rallies have you taken part in? This is my 28th year (Robert) and my 25th (Leslie).

What do you like best about rallying? We love riding, people, bikes. We’re driving from Chicago, it’s 1,000 miles. We make friends here. The best thing is that our old friends come from different times (in our lives) and we meet at the same time.







Logan Paskoski

Logan Paskoski, 29, finally got to attend the rally this year after wanting to since childhood, and tried his hand at hanging from a bar for a minute and a half. Paskoski nearly got it all the way, losing with just 14 seconds left.

How many rallies have you participated in? It’s my first time. I am here for work.

What is your favorite part of rallying? I love motorcycles. I wanted to come here since I was a kid. I love all bikes, I’ve never seen so many in one place.







Willie Lang

Willie Lang, 58, customizes shirts by cutting them and loves what he does.

How many rallies have you participated in? I have been here hundreds of times. About 10 years old.

What do you like best about rallying? I cut women’s clothes all day, how much fun can I have? I like what I do. I now do it full time.







Matt Bergen and Rochelle Jones

Matt Bergen and Rochelle Jones came to the rally for the first time this year. The couple said they were returning home from a fair and decided to call it quits.

How many rallies have you taken part in? This is our first year. We were actually in Sidney, Montana for their county fair. We were on our way back and it was kind of on the way.

What do you like best about rallying? The smiles on everyone’s faces.







Elvis, Elvis, Elvis, Elvis and Elvis

Jeff Hord, Steve Leggett, Shaun Geiman, Bill Elser and Trent Peskey returned to rallying as Elvis. The group has roots in South Dakota and Katy, Texas.

How many rallies have you taken part in? “For two of us, it’s our second year as Elvis. We’ve got three other guys sucked in. It puts a smile on people’s faces,” Hord said.

What do you like best about rallying? All rides, rides are magic. Spearfish Canyon, Iron Mountain, they are all different.

How many rallies have you participated in previously? This is our first year. I’ve always wanted to come, it’s just the first opportunity I had.

What do you like best about rallying? The scenery is absolutely amazing, and of course the rally itself, just the excitement. (Willow) loves it, everyone hugs it and loves it. She takes pictures with all the girls and she has a blast.
