The biggest transfer stories of the day. These are the things that are happening, or at least about to be done.

Raphinha close to joining FC Barcelona

FC Barcelona have finally officially submitted the offer to sign Raphinha from Leeds United and the English side appear ready to accept the current terms, CBS Sports insider Fabrizio Romano reports. The deal is expected to be around 58 million euros, plus add-ons which could reach a total amount of 68 million euros. The deal is in the final stages and will be completed once Barcelona are ready to register new players. The personal conditions were already agreed a few weeks ago. Despite Chelsea’s interest, the Brazilian player seems destined to become a new Barcelona player.

Chelsea have finally agreed on Slonina’s fee

This should finally be the key week for Chicago’s future Fire goalkeeper Gabriel Slonina. Chelsea have reached a verbal agreement to sign the 18-year-old American shot-stopper after talks between the MLS outfit and the club’s new owner and current caretaker manager Todd Boehly, who is handling transfer business. The deal is said to be worth €10m plus add-ons, with the player likely to stay at his current club on loan until the end of the season.

Those moves might not be imminent, but there are plenty of transfer shots in all the smoke these players and teams might be blowing.

Chelsea consider Koulibaly as a centre-back

With Matthijs de Ligt closing in on joining Bayern Munich, Chelsea are looking elsewhere to sign at least one centre-back this summer. One of the targeted names on their list is Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly. The defender’s contract with the Italian side expires in the summer of 2023, which has sparked interest from several European clubs such as Juventus and FC Barcelona. Chelsea have opened talks to sign him as reports suggest he could sign a three-year contract with the English side.

AC Milan confident in the race for Charles De Ketelaere

AC Milan are increasingly confident in their race to sign Charles de Ketelaere. The 21-year-old Belgian rising prospect has expressed interest in joining the Italian side despite a proposed €30million bid by Leeds United for Club Brugge. De Ketelaere is Milan’s top target this summer and it could be an important week ahead to see if a deal materializes. It should be noted that the Rossoneri are also working to sign the Chelsea winger hakim ziyech for rent.

Construction game

These moves can be speculative, but they should be watched.

AS Roma are in the race for Dybala

Jose Mourinho is working to strengthen his squad for the upcoming season. While negotiations for Zaniolo’s transfer to Juventus are ongoing, the Giallorossi could decide to replace him with free agent Paulo Dybala, still without a club after his contract with Juventus expired in June. The Argentinian striker has seen negotiations with InterMilan stall as soon as Romelu Lukaku makes his triumphant return from Chelsea. As a result, AS Roma are in a privileged position to participate in the draw, but they have to sell Zaniolo first.
