Chelsea’s secret deal with De Jong
Chelsea have decided to hijack Manchester United’s stalled attempts to sign Frenkie De Jong from Barcelona, according to SPORT.
Club owner Todd Boehly met with Barcelona chief Joan Laporta earlier this month where an agreement was reached to sign Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso should De Jong change management.
Werner offered to Real Madrid
Amid reports that he could be involved in a swap deal for RB Leipzig’s Josko Gvardiol, Timo Werner has also reportedly been offered to Real Madrid.

A statement read: “Leeds United and Kiko Casilla have parted ways by mutual consent. We would like to thank Kiko for his contributions during his time at the club and wish him well in the future.
The keeper still had a year to run on his contract.
Medical Chelsea for Slonina
Chelsea are close to completing the £12million signing of wonderkid goalkeeper Gabriel Slonina from Chicago Fire.
On Sunday morning, the 18-year-old was given the green light to fly to London, undergo a medical and sign the paperwork on Sunday morning.
The Blues fended off rival approaches from Real Madrid and Wolves, and will then send the goalkeeper back to Chicago on loan to complete a sensational season in MLS.

Xavi releases De Jong update
Barcelona coach Xavi is unsure if Frenkie de Jong will be at the club after the transfer window ends.
He said last night, “I don’t know if he’s [De Jong] will stay here. There is still time and many things can still happen.
“At the moment he is part of the team, like everyone else. The fact that he played as a centre-back in the other games was not a sign that he was leaving.
“I don’t need to send signals on the pitch. I can speak directly with my footballers.”
West Ham face competition from Kostic
West Ham are facing competition from Juventus to sign Filip Kostic.
The Hammers want to sign the left-back, who can also play in midfield, and made a bid worth around £11m last week.
Eintracht Frankfurt want around £17m to consider selling the 29-year-old, and Juventus are now showing interest.

Chelsea prepare Gvardiol swap offer
Chelsea are trying to complete a swap deal with RB Leipzig for Josko Gvardiol which includes cash and Timo Werner.
The defender is at the top of Thomas Tuchel’s list, alongside Wesley Fofana and, further down, Benjamin Pavard, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Gvardiol is considered not for sale by Leipzig.
