Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham continue to push for major new signings as the transfer window heats up with the new Premier League season just a week away. Chelsea have reportedly agreed personal terms with Wesley Fofana as they desperately seek defensive reinforcements after missing out on Jules Kounde to Barcelona, while they have also been given a boost in the race to sign Milan Skriniar.
Arsenal continue to be linked with Youri Tielemans as they push to sign a midfielder, with Mikel Arteta hinting at other signings. Nuno Tavares has joined Marseille on loan. The Gunners continue to be linked with Lazio’s Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, who is also a top target for Manchester United.
Tottenham are believed to be stepping up their pursuit of Nicolo Zaniolo as the final pre-season friendly against Roma in Israel provided the perfect opportunity for Antonio Conte and Fabio Paratici to potentially seal a deal for the Italy international. Tedesco refuses to discuss links with Werner
RB Leipzig manager Domenico Tedesco has been asked about rumors linking his club with a move for Timo Werner from Chelsea.
The German side have been linked with Werner, as have Newcastle, and Tedesco remained coy on the subject.
He said: “Timo Werner is not my player, is not our player. He is a Chelsea FC player.
“Therefore, I have a clear opinion on this. Not expressing myself, not positioning myself on players, who are not part of our club, who are not under contract in our club.
“In my opinion, it is a matter of respect. This is an important principle I have put in place for myself.

Arsenal investigation in Bowen
Arsenal contacted West Ham this summer for the signing of Jarrod Bowen, according to CBS Sports.
Journalist Ben Jacobs told GiveMeSport: “With Bowen, West Ham’s position remains that they really don’t want to sell, so there are a lot of clubs circling around Bowen, but the challenge, just like Declan Rice, is to persuade West Ham to sell during this window and West Ham remain rather determined not to let him go.
“So there’s a lot of excitement about Bowen potentially moving to a club like Arsenal, but it’s all hypothetical at the moment because West Ham don’t want to sell. But Arsenal have definitely investigated Bowen. to see what the situation is, but that’s what they were told.”
One to watch.
Arsenal want more signings
Mikel Arteta has confirmed that Arsenal remain in the market for new signings.
“We still hope to do something else if the market allows it,” he told reporters earlier in the day. “You have also seen some movement in recent days.
“We want to get the perfect balance and the plan that we wanted from the start. Whether we get there or not is another story.
Chelsea get a Skriniar boost
PSG are ready to drop a deal to sign Chelsea target Milan Skriniar.
L’Equipe journalist Loic Tanzi reports that the centre-back remains out of financial reach for the club and other targets will be approached if Inter don’t lower their demands.
Chelsea are interested in Skriniar but PSG were seen as the most likely candidate to sign him.
Rodon seals Rennes
Tottenham defender Joe Rodon is in France to complete his loan spell at Rennes.
Fabrizio Romano reports that the Ligue 1 outfit will have the option to sign him for €20m.

It remains unclear if Newcastle could launch bids for both, or if it would be one or the other, but both will come with steep fees.
Deal done! Marseille signs Tavares
A deal concluded at Arsenal, which allowed Nuno Tavares to go out on loan.
The Portuguese full-back will follow William Saliba and Matteo Guendouzi in spending a season at Marseille.
However, Fabrizio Romano reports that there is no option for a permanent transfer included in the deal, so Tavares is expected to return to Arsenal next summer.
